Tarte Quick Dry Matte Lip Paints Review

This past year, Tarte has come out with tons of new products. One of them being their Tarteist Quick Dry Matte Lip Paints. On the Ulta website, it claims that these will be lightweight, non drying, as well as transfer proof.

When these lippies came out, I knew I had to get my hands on them. So here are my thoughts on how it held up.

Just like its claims, I did find this formula to be very lightweight, but not watery. This made the application process quite easy. What I also loved was the shape of the wand. It has a dip in the inside to hug your lips perfectly making it simple to get a nice crisp edge around the lips. It also dried down incredibly fast. Which is exactly as it claimed. This can be both a good and bad thing. For if you mess up, you’ll need something like an oil based makeup remover to clean up your mistakes, because once this sets, it will stay there. The best part was that I didn’t find the formula to be too drying. It sat comfortably on my lips to the point where I actually forgot I had it on.acid wash

I chose to wear the color Bestie, which is a neutral nude color on me. Throughout the entire day I went out for lunch, ran some errands, etc. I was quite impressed with how long the color lasted on me. It was only until after I eat some greasy pizza that the color wiped off a bit. But even then, it didn’t leave me looking like I just had lip liner on, and the color wasn’t patchy.

Overall Thoughts:

If you’re looking for a long lasting, non drying liquid lipstick, then the Tarte Quick Dry Matte Lip Paints are definitely for you. They only run $20 which is a reasonable price in my opinion, and come in a ride variety of shades from nudes, such as Bestie, to dark vampy purples, like Acid Wash which is pictured above.

Lets us know if you’ve tried out these Lip Paints! How did they work for you?
