Karen Civil Launches Live Civil Computer Lab In Haiti

Media entrepreneur Karen Civil announced that she is starting her own computer lab, Live Civil in Haiti. The former Bombshell cover girl donated over 20 computers and collaborated with the Jack Brewer Foundation to open the lab in the House Of Hope Orphanage.

In addition of donating computers, she also gave away brand new pairs of Beats By Dre headphones and Van sneakers. Civil is Haitian descent and no stranger giving back to her community. Just a year ago she opened Live Civil playground for students and also partnered with rapper Lil Wayne and boxer Andre Berto, giving 500 Haitian students Trukfit clothing & books provided by Scholastic Corporation.

Here is what she said about giving back to Haiti:

“Each year I return to Haiti, I hope that whatever I bring, contributes to the betterment of these students for the long term, in 2017, all students must have access to computers and other updated technology. It impacts the speed in which they can complete their homework, how quickly they can access information online, and improve their typing and reading skills. I want them to be given the same opportunity other educated youth are given in different countries. I’m grateful to Jack Brewer for helping make this lab come to life!”

We acknowledge Civil for continuing to spread #BlackGirlMagic and constantly being a role model to the community.
